Branding and illustration for the single “Daggers” by Southern California indie-rock band, Move Like Creatures.
Inspired by the band's music video and meticulously hand-drawn in Adobe Fresco. There is also an animated version (click here).
After the initial sketch, I simplified some of the more complex details that were on the original props with basic shapes for better clarity since these characters would be used across multiple platforms and merchandise.
I wanted to create a logo that had energy and movement with an emphasis on the word 'creatures'. The result of pairing handwritten elements with a bold font felt dynamic and engaging.
